Getting started
The whole path in one page: get a diary out of TripLibre, open it in TripLibreLab, replay a day, and share it. Steps that have not been built and tested yet are marked Pending.
TripLibreLab is not available to download yet. This guide is written ahead of the first release so the workflow is clear; it will be checked step by step against the real app before release.

1. Export a diary from TripLibre
In TripLibre, open Settings › Create export. TripLibre writes a timestamped folder such as
hht-export-20260927-120000/ to Files › On My iPhone › TripLibre › Exports. Inside it,
travel.sqlite is a complete snapshot of your TripLibre database; that is the file TripLibreLab opens.
TripLibre's Data model & export page lists everything else in the folder.
travel.sqlite contains your whole history, including raw GPS points, regardless of the range you chose for
the export. Keep it somewhere private. See Data & privacy.
2. Import it into TripLibreLab Pending
- Open TripLibreLabThe first screen explains that your file is processed on the phone and offers to choose one.
- Choose the fileBrowse to the export folder in the Files picker and select
travel.sqlite. - Wait for the checkTripLibreLab confirms it can read the file. If it can't, it says why. See When a file can't be read.
3. Choose a day and replay it Pending

- Read the timelineThe day's trips and stops appear in the order they happened.
- Press playThe day animates on the map. Pause, restart, or drag the scrubber to any moment. See Replay & share for what the lines on the map mean.
4. Share it Pending

- ShareSend it with the iOS share sheet. Nothing is uploaded unless you send it somewhere.
